Hospital Collaboratives to Improve Maternity Care Practices Related to Breastfeeding in the U.S. — The purpose of the program Hospital Collaboratives to Improve Maternity Care Practices Related to Breastfeeding in the U.S. is to improve the quality of maternity care practices and policies related to breastfeeding and to address geographic and race/ethnic disparities in breastfeeding rates by providing opportunities to ensure equitable access to maternity care that optimally supports mothers to be able to breastfeed. One funding recipient will be awarded to improve maternity care practices and policies and increase Baby-Friendly designations nationwide. Read more

Sources Sought: Upgraded Early Warning Radar & Cobra Dane BMDS Test and Evaluations — The contractor being sought through this RFI shall plan, integrate, execute, and analyze UEWR & CD radar testing in IMTP-defined BMDS test events. The contractor shall also manage, operate and provide non-COTS maintenance for the UEWR & CD HWIL test string provisions provided as GFE at ISTC-1, ISTC-2 and the PCIL and complete testing to integrate upgraded UEWR or CD hardware or software into the labs (ISTC-1/2 and PCIL). The testing shall be adequate to validate that lab UEWR & CD representations are functional and interfaces with the current Single Stimulation Framework and Ground-based Midcourse Defense Fire Control (GFC) lab configurations perform nominally. Sources Sought: Transit Safety Retrofit Package (TRP) Development – The USDOT would like to accelerate the development and commercialization of crash avoidance systems based on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) wireless communications using dedicated short range communication (DSRC) technology. This specialized type of wireless communications technology and standards, being developed through USDOT sponsored research, is highly tailored for the vehicular environment. It can be leveraged to enhance or enable safety applications which will assist drivers through passive and active warnings to reduce a multitude of motor vehicle crash types such as rear-end, lane change, and crossing path crash types. Navy Solicitations – June 2011

Force Level Radar Resource Management for IAMD BAA — The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Dahlgren, VA, invites white papers addressing the development and demonstration of advanced algorithms for collaborative management of radar resources. This BAA will consist of solicitation of white papers. Only those offerors selected as a result of white paper evaluation will be invited to submit proposals. Unsolicited proposals will not be reviewed.  The result of this effort will be a Force-Level Radar Resource Management for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) capability (ResMan). The development of ResMan through the final demonstration is expected to occur over a five-year effort beginning in FY12. Read more
